AWA by Magnum
Cocoa harvesting season only lasts for six months. The rest of the year, Magnum is supporting cocoa farmers to get other sources of income.
̌
A fashion collection inspired by Ivorian cocoa farmers.
The harvesting of cocoa only lasts for six months. The rest of the year, women struggle to find stable sources of income. This affects their mental health and wellbeing. That’s why Magnum created an empowerment programme to help them improve their skills and achieve financial independence.
To raise additional funds for this programme, Magnum partnered with Ivorian designer Rebecca Zoro to create a fashion collection inspired by these amazing women. This collection was introduced to the world by Awa, a digital avatar made from the faces of 128 women who benefit from the programme.
